Our Story
Resilient Young Minds Incorporated (RYM Inc.). is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by The Ultimate Social Worker in 2017. RYM aims to teach youth and families who have experienced trauma how to fight trauma with resilience to access healing. We address trauma at the Personal, Professional and Social level.
Our Approach to Working Together
Resilience Camp
RYM Resilience camp is our primary program. The USW has curated a mental wellness experience that allows youth to engaged in psychodynamic mindfulness, & CBT practices to identify, reflect and release their trauma, while simultaneously being exposed to coping strategies that can be acquired throughout the weekend long experience in the Poconos.
Resilient Mentorship
RYM members are eligible to receive resilient mentoring from an assigned RYM mentor, who is training in trauma informed practice. Mentors commits' to a minimum of 40 hours a per year to provide structured guidance and support.
Participants are able to use this service after they have attended a resilience camp and signed up to be an active RYM Member.
Enrichment
Primarily through our partnership with DBNA's Barclays Center Ticket Program, we are able to provide exposure to events that take place at Barclay Center. All RYM members are eligible to receive this service.
We also curate customized experiences ( Block Parities, Trunk or Treats, Carnivals etc.) for our youth families to connect, and bond over new experiences.

Resilience Summit
We collaborate with various youth wellness vendors to provide a one day mental wellness experience for at-risk youth. This event is open to the community and allows parents and youth to not only learn about other Youth Based Organizations, but have the opportunity to experience a demonstration of their services on that day.
